#1 Michael and Naomi, you are in
#2 thinking about Michael and Naomi’s vacation got me to thinking about something that was shared at a baby shower devotional last weekend. We spend so much time planning our vacations and how we will maximize every bit of time. Do we do the same when we think about how we will teach our children about the Lord? Do we deliberate and plan how we will teach them about Christ and how to maximize every bit of time we have with them? YIKES….good stuff huh?
#3 our church recently hosted a Ladies Day Away with guest speaker Susan Hunt. Some more good stuff. I have one main goal from that day, to not forget to live out the gospel in my marriage. I think that is something way to easy for me to forget…there is no dichotomy between home life and outside home life.
I really liked Susan Hunt, she reminded me of my momma! =)
#4 Mothers Day, Scott brought me breakfast in bed and surprised me with, nope not a mommy mug, but a beautiful pearl necklace (Liam’s birthstone). It was very strange being celebrated on Mother’s Day, made me feel old.
#5 Liam milestones….
He has decided that he doesn’t need me or Scott to feed him anymore, he can do it all by himself. As a result mealtimes are much longer and much messier. Does he ever get mad if we try to feed him with a spoon! YIKES. Anyhow, I have stopped making “baby food” he eats everything we eat now. We shared a burrito the other day and he loves subway sandwiches =) Strangely enough, paper is pretty high up there on the list of his favorite foods. He ate halfway through my grocery list the other day before I caught the little booger!
I decided to start cutting back on nursing so I don’t feed him during the day anymore. = ( And I started him on whole milk we are on day 3 of whole milk. I have to guard the whole milk though, Scott tries to sneak it! GROSS….I tried some the other day….are heavy cream and whole milk the same thing?
I am VERY ticklish on my neck...Liam had me pinned the other day!

I love the pictures behind the gate. He looks like he is being tortured. Haha :) The video is quite cute also. Looks like he will be walking soon. Love nana
ReplyDeleteAgain, thanks for the peek into the lives of the Johnsons. I worked a big week this week and it just made my evening to see ya'all and yes, especially our "little man"
ReplyDeleteMuch Love,
YA MAMA :)
We loved the pictures of Liam pitching a fit at the baby gate =) Naomi said her favorite was the one where he has his head thrown back in the air with his mouth open crying out "Why God, Why?" Kauai as you can attest to personally has been wonderful. We're headed out to boogie board again this afternoon. Since I'm my father's son I am very sad that our vacation is almost over and plan on whining a good bit about it today =) Just kidding about the whining, but we have enjoyed it greatly. Talk to you guys later.
